Sintering furnaces

Dense sintering: a difficult but controllable process

SinteroefenLinear shrinkage of the zirconium frameworks in sintering is around 20%. After the sintering of DD Bio Z zirconia porosity has closed completely and the material achieves its excellent technical and optical properties.

The selected heating rates, dwell times, and end temperatures, affect primarily the size of the grains (microstructure) and thus strength and resistance against hydrothermal aging and aesthetics (translucency).

All devices in our product range have been extensively tested in in-house tests and the manufacturers have years of experience with ceramic processes.

We attach great importance to the fact that all devices are freely programmable, so you can customise your programmes to circumstances and materials.

The user-friendly operation, coupled with short sintering cycles and a lower electricity consumption are combined in this sintering furnace. DD Argus Fire Speed allows space availability up to 40 units and dental restorations up to six elements. The specific SiC-Heating technology ensures reliable sintering results during one sintering cycle at a temperature of maximum 1.530°C. The DD Argus Fire Speed is equipped with two silicon carbide heating elements and provides the basis of sintering temperatures of 1.530°C. Two silicon carbide heating elements provide the basis for sintering temperatures up to 1.530 ° C and also prevent discoloration of zirconia copings during sintering process.

All components of the fi ring chamber are made of the highest purity, durable materials to ensure very homogeneous heat distribution in a clean atmosphere. The cylindrical fi ring chamber will be closed from below, by a vibration free lift. A platinum/platinum-rhodium thermocouple ensures reliable temperature control. Sintering units with diameter of up to 65mm can be sintered simultaneous, on two sintering levels at isolation tables- with or without sintering pearls. The unique and improved Autodry system allows a precise drying and supports fast and controlled heating- and cooling phases, which significantly reduces the sintering times. 

Inhouse developed sinter cycles enable the user to speed sinter single crowns in approximately 2 hours (cold to cold).

The DD Argus Fire 674 operates with the proven SiC-heating concept, which is perfectly suited for sintering of zirconia frameworks. Besides the space availability of up to 80 units, placed over two sintering levels, the DD Argus Fire 674 is equipped with three silicon carbide heating elements, perfectly fitting to ensure homogeneous sintering at temperatures up to 1.530°C. The DD Argus fire 674 is a reliable partner for your digital laboratory.

The three silicon carbide heating elements of the DD Argus Fire 674 do not only ensure optimum heat distribution. These heating elements also feature robustness, durability and help to prevent discolorations of zirconia copings. The vibration-free lift ensures an optimum closing operation of the fi ring chamber. The unique Autodry system generates high temperature during the heating and cooling phases, which allows shorter sintering cycles by a controlled lift movement. Each of the two sintering levels provides a respective capacity of 40 zirconia units with a diameter up to 100 mm. The sintering programs are optionally provided, preinstalled on a USB stick or for download from the internet. The furnace is operated through its 7.5” colored touch panel, which also allows you full control over the furnace status.
